Hi. I’m Dr John Griffiths, the owner of SciExcel Tuition. I offer professional, high quality private, on-line tuition in GCSE and A-Level Chemistry following the AQA, OCR and Edexcel specifications (UK).

I also provide tution following IB Diploma programmes as well as International GCSE and A level Chemistry for overseas students.

I have a BSc, MSc and PhD in Chemistry and have forty years’ experience in analytical science.

 After training and working as a science teacher at Altrincham grammar school for girls, I gained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE from Manchester University. I am also a Chartered Scientist (CSci), Chartered Chemist (CChem) and a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC).

As a STEM ambassador, I have worked with young people of secondary school age (Year 7 to 6th Form), and have a son and daughter of my own who have been through the secondary school experience. I have a current Enhanced DBS certificate, which is available for inspection as required.
